Terms of Service
Sanctuary - Library Management Platform (website & Android app)
Last updated: 15 August 2026. These Terms govern your use of the Sanctuary manager website at https://sanctuary.org.in/, the Sanctuary Android app, and related services operated by Uxpert Tech Solutions.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" means the Sanctuary manager website, Android application, and associated services.
- "Manager" means a library owner or operator who uses Sanctuary to manage a library or study space (Sanctuary Pro subscriber or trial user).
- "Student" means an end-user registered at that library to hold a seat or membership.
- "Subscription" / "Sanctuary Pro" means the Manager’s paid (or trial) plan that unlocks commercial Platform features.
- "We/Us/Our" means Uxpert Tech Solutions, operating Sanctuary.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and (for paid Manager plans) our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to register as a Manager.
- Students must be at least 13 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent, to use the Platform.
- You must provide accurate information, including a verifiable Indian mobile number used to sign in.
4. Account Registration
- Managers: Sign-in is Indian mobile number + SMS OTP on the website (/login/manager) or the Android app. There is no password login. One free trial is allowed per phone number. You may add profile details (name, email, library) after signup. Optional email 2FA may be enabled in Security & Privacy.
- Students: Sign-in is the Indian mobile number registered at the library + SMS OTP on the Android app only (no student login on the manager website). Students may also request access / self-register; the Manager must accept before full membership. There is no Student ID / password login.
- You are responsible for keeping OTP and devices confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access. You can review and revoke other sessions in Profile → Security & Privacy → Active Sessions. Website and app sessions are separate.
- On Android, saving a Manager UPI ID asks for Notification Access so the app can match UPI/bank credit alerts to pending student UTRs. You can still confirm every UTR by hand. Cash payments and website UTR confirm do not require this permission.
5. Subscription Plans & Billing (Managers)
Available plans
| Plan | Price (INR) | Billing |
| Free Trial | ₹0 | 30 days after phone verification (one per phone) |
| Monthly | ₹299 | Auto-renew or one-time via in-app checkout |
| Quarterly | ₹749 | Auto-renew or one-time via in-app checkout |
| Yearly | ₹2,499 | Auto-renew or one-time via in-app checkout |
Prices shown in-app are in Indian Rupees. Coupons and time-limited offers may change the amount charged; the amount shown at checkout before you pay is the amount charged.
Autopay and one-time
Paid Sanctuary Pro plans are billed through in-app checkout. Checkout offers auto-renew (UPI Autopay / card mandate) and one-time payment.
- Auto-renew continues each cycle until you Stop Autopay from Profile / Your Plan on the website or Android app (subscription card). Access continues until the end of the current paid period; no further charges are made.
- Stopping autopay does not grant a prorated refund for unused days.
- A one-time purchase does not create an auto-renew mandate and expires at period end unless you subscribe again.
Grace period & past due
If your trial or paid period ends without renewal, or a renewal payment fails:
- You enter a 7-day grace window (or the app may show Payment past due while a failed autopay charge is retried).
- During grace / past due you can usually view Home, students, and earnings, but write actions are locked - including new student registration (Monthly, Temporary, Udhaari, and self-registration), desk/seat changes, bulk student edits, and broadcasts.
- After grace, the Subscription Wall blocks commercial use until you subscribe again. You may Browse as read-only where the app allows.
Coupons & referrals
Valid coupon codes, referral rewards, and limited-time offers may reduce the amount payable when shown and accepted at checkout. Promotional terms apply as displayed in-app.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s infrastructure
- Share account credentials or OTP with third parties
- Use automated systems to access the Platform without permission
- Upload harmful, misleading, or illegal content (including in broadcasts or support messages)
- Try to skip or fake subscription or payment checks
7. Student Membership Payments
Managers may collect Student membership fees via the Platform using methods enabled for that library, including:
- UPI - when the Manager has saved a UPI ID; payment goes to the Manager’s UPI / bank account
- Direct UPI with UTR (and optional screenshot) confirmed by the Manager
- Cash recorded in-app by the Manager
- Udhaari (pay-later) - Manager may activate a monthly membership on an advance, with remaining dues due on a date the Manager sets. Outstanding dues must be cleared in full (UPI+UTR or desk methods). If dues remain unpaid after the due date, the membership may expire and unpaid remainder may be written off by the library (not a payment to Sanctuary)
Students may also self-register for a monthly plan; the Manager must accept the request before payment. The same phone cannot hold two active memberships at once; a seat cannot be assigned to two people at the same time.
Sanctuary does not hold Student fee funds as a wallet for the Student. Sanctuary does not charge a platform fee on Student payments (0%). Refunds or disputes for Student fees (including Udhaari advance and dues) are between the Student and their library Manager (see our Refund Policy).
8. Data Ownership & Privacy
- Your Data: Managers retain ownership of library operational data they enter (student records, attendance, earnings records).
- Platform IP: Software, design, branding, and related IP remain ours.
- Privacy: Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Data export / deletion: You may request export or account-related deletion by contacting support (see Contact).
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability for Manager subscription claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to Sanctuary for Sanctuary Pro in the preceding 12 months.
- We are not responsible for bank / UPI outages, settlement delays, or failures of third-party services.
- We are not a party to Student–Manager fee disputes.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion via in-app Security & Privacy / support channels.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse trials, or engage in fraud, with or without prior notice.
- Upon termination or expiry without renewal, commercial Manager features remain locked as described in Section 5.
- We may retain certain records as required for security or accounting purposes, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification where reasonably practicable. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The latest version is always available at this URL.
